navigating architecture

2018 AIA Iowa Spring Conference

Thank you for attending!
Navigation: the process of accurately ascertaining one’s position, planning and following a route.

This is a fundamental skill of architects – from strategically solving complex problems to deftly maneuvering through intricate processes and requirements. We don’t often think of ourselves as navigators, but it is inherent in our daily practice. The intent of this year’s AIA Iowa Spring Conference is to open a dialogue and look broadly at the status of our profession within the context of this unique point in time. We have a broad demographic of architects who span generations, backgrounds, and experiences who are currently grappling with the realities of our climate: be it environmental, political, global, economic or social. Let’s come together to plot our course.
