Welcome to the 2018 AIA Iowa Convention

The future of Architecture is shaped by our collective MOVEMENT. MOVEMENT is the progress that occurs as we learn, grow, and expand the view and understanding of the world in which we live. 

MOVEMENT is the change in adapting to the environment, economy, and society around us.  Individually, we are exploring and creating new ideas; together, we are building a new diverse, sustainable, and bold future.

Many experiences have shaped us; thereafter we shape our profession.  These experiences are the driving force that fosters new and positive cultural shifts: toward new modes of practice and project delivery; toward workplace equity; toward social justice; toward emerging tools; toward sustainable products; toward life-cycle analysis; and toward a new architecture.

Diversity is paramount to MOVEMENT, thus, behind the theme for this year’s 2018 AIA Iowa Convention.
