Tom has practiced architecture for over 25 years, with a special focus on integrating sustainable design and adaptive-use strategies. He has lectured at more than 50 national and international conferences and universities presenting case-studies for his award-winning work in urban revitalization, adaptive use of historic structures, and sustainable design. Tom was recognized in 2013 by AIA Baltimore as Community Architect of the Year. In 2022, the Maryland Department of Planning and Maryland Planning Commissioners Association presented him with the Citizen Planner of the Year award in recognition of his years of service in the preservation in Baltimore City.

Barbara Campagna was elevated to Fellowship in the AIA in 2009 as “the leading national architect and policymaker for the integration of preservation values into green building practices.” She was the co-founder and architectural leader of the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Sustainability Program whose goal was to help professionals and the general public better understand the value of preservation in fostering development that is environmentally and socially sustainable.  Her collaborative approach to design, advocacy and education has elevated the integration of preservation principles into sustainable design to a national level by developing a network of professionals, partners and organizations.

How do I receive continuing education credits?

AIA Iowa will be closely monitoring webinar attendance over the two-day period. Participants are required to use their first and last names, rather than firm names or generic identifiers, for accurate tracking. How many credits can be earned?

Attendees who participated in the FULL Spring Conference on April 4-5 can earn up to 7.5 AIA CES LUs. AIA Iowa is an AIA CES approved provider (#A023) with the American Institute of Architects Continuing Education System. When will connection information be sent?

What is the refund policy? 

No refunds are provided for AIA Iowa events after the early registration deadline of March 8, 2024. Additionally, failing to log in to the website for the member discount does not qualify for refunds or price adjustments.
